Write a short story with two endings, one happy, one terrifying. It was a dark and stormy night. Phillip had been driving home from work, and was now about an hour away. He had made it the last few miles, but was now in the throes of a full-blown panic attack. His breaths came in short gasps and his heart was pounding so hard, it felt like it was trying to escape his chest. He pulled to the side of the road, scattering gravel, and tried to calm himself. He closed his eyes and took several deep breaths before starting the car. He crept along the road, his car the only light in a wide and dark world. The rain continued to beat against the windshield like the footsteps of some unseen thing. Suddenly, the car ahead of him turned on its high beams, blinding him. He slammed on the brakes and the car skidded to a stop. He sat there, heart pounding, as the car ahead of him did the same. He could see the driver's silhouette in the glow of the taillights. The driver's door opened and a figure got out. Phillip's heart stopped as the figure started to walk towards him. The figure was that of a woman, and she was coming towards him with a purposeful stride. He could see her now in the light of his own headlights. She was wearing a long, white dress that flowed around her in the wind. Her hair was wild and blowing around her face. She reached his car and stopped, looking in at him with eyes that seemed to glow in the dark. He couldn't move, he couldn't look away. She opened the door and got in. "Drive," she said. He put the car in gear and started to drive. He didn't know where he was going, but he knew he had to get away from this place. The woman sat next to him, silent and watchful. He could feel her eyes on him, but he didn't dare look at her. He drove for what seemed like hours, but he didn't know where he was. The only thing he was sure of was that he had to get away from this woman. Suddenly, she spoke. "I'm going to kill you," she said. Phillip's heart stopped. He knew this was the end. There was no escape for him now. Ending 1: The woman reached over and grabbed Phillip by the throat. He struggled, but she was too strong. He felt the life being choked out of him and then everything went black. Ending 2: Phillip slammed on the brakes and threw the car into reverse. He hit the gas and the tires squealed as he sped away. He could see the woman in his rearview mirror, standing in the middle of the road, watching him as he fled. He didn't know what she was, but he knew he never wanted to see her again. He drove all night, not stopping until he reached the safety of his home.
