RtWorldImport

In RenderWare Graphics 3.3 we have conducted a major overhaul of RtWorldImport, in order to improve performance and flexibility of our sectorization toolkit.

RtWorldImport's default world building scheme (that the RenderWare Graphics exporters use) has been improved with better space culling and more 'logical' world subdivisions. We have also provided a number of alternative approaches, accessible through the API, that have been designed to work with certain types of world. This includes a number of 'occluder schemes' including:

which are optimized to work with PVS.

There is another scheme - your own: RtWorldImport is now fully customizable. The API also includes mechanisms to manually build a tree, or to give the automated process 'hints' as to how to subdivide the world effectively. Along with provisions for your own schemes to be incorporated, RtWorldImport offers a highly controllable environment for you to build an optimal sectorization scheme for your game.

Powerful Sector Editor

RtWorldImport now includes a powerful GUI Sector Editor tool, provided as a visual interface to the API for Sector and PVS editing. From the Sector Editor you can select one of our standard schemes for sectorization or navigate around your world, checking the effectiveness of the partitioning. You can also edit PVS data from the Sector Editor.
